Mozart composed beautiful symphonies by the age of ten. Josiah became the king of Judah at the age of nine. At the age of eight, Johnny Smith carried a bullfrog in the pocket of his pants two miles just so he could scare his sister … Kids will be kids!

At NCCTK we believe in reaching kids right where they are—Mozart or Johnny. That’s why we strive to create an atmosphere filled with fun, laughter and the presence of God. Our programs are designed to attract the hearts of children in such a way that they truly want to come back each week to meet with God and learn about Him in creative (and sometimes even messy) ways, bullfrogs and all.

Children’s Ministry  is a place where faith, imagination, and learning go hand in hand. We are a place where children have so much fun learning how awesome God is – they don’t want to miss a single week!  The music is contemporary and children leave humming the tunes and singing the words that help them remember biblical truths all week. We use video, puppets, and drama to teach this generation how to live the Christian life at home, at school, and in their neighborhoods. Our constant prayer is that as kids learn Biblical truths and experience God’s love at home and church, their faith will grow and develop into a faith that sticks.

February 21st is Beach Night!

We currently do not have any theme nights scheduled. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesdays though.

We look forward to seeing you in Kid’s Place. Please know that you are a welcome guest, and we hope that you and your children have a wonderful first experience.  Our staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful class experience.  Here are a few things that will help you have a successful morning.

When to Arrive: We recommend you arrive 30 minutes before service starts.

Where to Park: On the East side of the building next to True Value or the North side of the building in front of the Worship Center’s main doors.

Registration: When you first arrive, please come to the Children’s Ministry Check-in counter located in the Kid’s Place Commons.  Our hosts will have you fill out a short form about your child (or children) so that your children can receive a nametag and be allowed into a classroom. You are welcome to pre-fill out our Registration Form online and complete it in advance. A member of our check-in team will show you your child’s classroom.

What Classroom Is My Child In: Children are placed in their classroom by age or grade. Younger children cannot move up to be with older siblings, but older siblings can move down to a younger class.

When Are People Allowed In: Doors to the building will open 30 minutes before each service. Teachers will be prepared to check your children into their classrooms 15 minutes before the start of the service. Be sure to inform the teachers of any allergies or health concerns.

For children in 3rd grade and younger, a security check-in/check-out procedure will be followed. The child will be checked in by a parent or guardian at a kiosk, and will receive a name tag and a “pick-up tag” for the child, similar to a claim check. The parent or guardian must present the pick-up tag in order to sign out the child from our care. In the event that a parent or guardian is unable to present the pick-up tag, he or she should be directed to the Children’s Ministry kiosk to discuss the surrounding circumstances with a ministry leader. The parent or guardian may be asked to present photo identification before the ministry leader releases the child into his/her care.

For children in 4th & 5th grade, the child will be checked in by a parent or guardian at a kiosk, and will receive a name tag that they need to wear. The parent or guardian must be present to sign the child out of our care. No pickup tag is needed.

The health and well-being of your child is important to us. We want to provide a healthy environment in all our children’s ministry areas. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and toys sanitized each week. In order to protect the health of all the many children we serve and the adult workers who serve in our ministries, we ask you to keep your child at home if you observe any of the following:

  • Fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within the past 24 hours
  • Discharge in or around the eyes
  • Excessive coughing or sneezing
  • Any questionable rash
  • Any communicable disease

Our staff and volunteers follow these same guidelines with regard to their own health as well. If your child shows signs of illness at any time while in our care, you will be contacted immediately.
