The Edge
The EDGE is a strategic, cutting-EDGE ministry specifically designed for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Because this age group is transitioning into the teenage years, we tackle practical issues that pre-teens face each week.
It is a fun and exciting place to challenge kids toward spiritual growth. 9-12 year olds are old enough to navigate away from just learning concrete facts to understanding abstract concepts. We want to teach the Word of God and encourage them to apply Godly principals in their life. Our goal is to see kids develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ and reach them before they need to be rescued.
Our weekend services begin with socializing and free play. We then transition into a time of worship, prayer and weekly announcements. After this we have a large group teaching before breaking off into small groups for discussion questions. The last 5 minutes of the service, the students are allowed to again socialize or engage in free play. Students are not allowed to leave the EDGE until a parent or other designated adult comes to pick them up.
