Prayer & Care

When you ask how NCCTK cares for and about you, our answer is found in the Small Group. Being in a Small Group puts you in close contact with other Christians who can minister to you as you face real life in the real world. Without being part of a Small Group, it is very likely that some need in your life could be overlooked or not be known. The Prayer and Care Ministry wants to provide a system for NCCTK members to demonstrate genuine Christian care when others in our church family are facing life challenges or crisis situations that go beyond the ability of the Small Group to provide.

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40 NIV

Prayer Opportunities

There are many times that people need prayer and ask us to intercede for them via personal request, email, phone or our response cards.  Prayer is the most loving thing we can do for one another.  You can participate in many ways.  For more information contact Pastor Steve at 318-9446 x 132.

WEEKLY PRAYER LETTER – The weekly prayer letter is a collection of prayer requests that are received by phone, email or the worship response cards.  Only first names are used so that confidentiality is maintained.  These requests are put in a weekly letter that is mailed or emailed to those who are on the prayer team.

EMERGENCY PRAYER – There is a 24 hour hotline which can be called with an emergency request for prayer.  Based on the nature of the emergency, the phone tree is activated to those on the team so prayer can be started as soon as possible.

PRAYER ROOM MEETINGS – The prayer room and campus prayer meetings are coordinated through this team.  Regular meetings are held for ongoing prayer needs in the church, county, state, country or world.  A small team meets during our worship services to pray for that service.  Also classes on prayer are held for training in specifics of prayer.

PRAYER RESPONSE – All worship services have people willing to pray for needs of people following our messages.  This team supplies prayer partners to pray over the sick in hospitals.  Also the team responds to prayer requests for home/families or businesses that request a walk through prayer.

SPECIAL EVENTS – Special events are short term prayer teams that are formed for a specific occasion for a designated duration.  When a mission team is in the field, prayer is offered for them during the trip.  Special events like the NW WA Fair or our Harvest festival or Easter Extravaganza can have prayer before and during the event.  Prayer walks are organized in areas where concentrated prayer is needed.  Also the Senior Pastor may call for a time of prayer based on a sermon principle or need where NCCTK is making a special thrust.

when life is bigger than the small group

Everyone has special times/situations which can go beyond the ability of the Small Group to fully provide for. When a special need is identified, the Prayer and Care Pastor, Steve Scroggins, connects the right person from the NCCTK Care Team to the person or family in need. No crisis is too big to be discussed. We have a large countywide network. If you are in need of assistance or would like more information, call Steve Scroggins at 815-2135.

40 Days of Prayer

Do you know what each of our unlikely heroes has in common? They all got on their knees before God and prayed. We believe ordinary people can still change the world and it starts with prayer. Join us in 40 days of prayer for America. God wants to revive America’s love and honor for Him and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14) and this will happen if we:

  • Humble ourselves
  • Pray and seek His face
  • Turn from our wicked ways

If we are going to be a church of world changers we need to be a church that prays.
