Local P.E.A.C.E

The Local P.E.A.C.E. Plan is designed for small groups to be involved in planting churches, equipping leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick and educating the next generation in Whatcom County and the Lower Main Land.

The focus of Local P.E.A.C.E. is to help small groups get involved in meeting the needs of people "at-risk" in their own local communities. This does not involve only funding an organization to do the work or referring people to the church. Local P.E.A.C.E. is designed for small groups to attack the global "giants" in our own communities.

"But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NLT)

Local P.E.A.C.E. works in three areas:

Your Community (Jerusalem)
Your small group's immediate neighborhood(s).

Extended Communities (Judea)
"At-risk" population segments in your neighborhood and surrounding communities.

Crossing Cultures Locally (Samaria)
Un-reached populations living in your area.

* "At-risk": A group in society that is exposed to or experiencing an extreme loss (socially, economically, physically or emotionally).

Your Community (Jerusalem)

  • Begin by praying for those in the neighborhood(s) of your small group.
  • Assess whether the neighborbood(s) of your small group have a need in any or all of the "giants" areas.

Extended Communities (Judea)

*At-risk population segments (groups of people that have been impacted by the "giants")

  • Homeless
  • HIV/AIDS (infected/affected)
  • Inmates and their families
  • "At-risk" children
  • "At-risk" youth
  • "At-risk" women
  • "At-risk" men
  • "At-risk" military and vetrens

Crossing Cultures Locally (Samaria)

  • Implementing P.E.A.C.E. among ethnic groups who have inadequate access to the Good News and local church
  • Partnering with local churches in Canada and helping to implement the P.E.A.C.E. Plan there.
