PUTTING OUR FAITH INTO ACTION
ere's some exciting news: you are uniquely gifted for the works of service that God prepared in advance for you to do! God has made it clear to us His followers that we are called to serve one another, love God, love each other and love lost people. That love looks like bringing food to those in need, mentoring a child, standing up for the rights of the persecuted and abused. Love in action is doing something about the lack of clean water in developing nations, caring enough to go to the slums of any country and teaching AIDS awareness, adopting a child so they will know the love of a parent and the hope for eternity. Love means investing in children through education and relationships so we can stop the cycle of poverty and dysfunction. Doing what God has called you to do doesn't require you to be perfect it just requires a willing heart. The pages to the right are filled with ways for you to put your love and faith into action. Ask God to show you which ones you are to invest in, and then just do it!
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (James 1:27)
