New Way Ministries
Mission Statement:
To promote hope and temporary housing for women and children who are in desperate need; to provide compassionate care and counsel in a loving Christian atmosphere; to give hope and encouragement to follow a new path of life changing action.
Current Opportunities:
- New Way Ministries receives plenty of use. We continually need to stay on top of maintenance and upgrading of the building. We seek help from skilled tradesmen and women who will joyfully provide services as though they are working on their own home.
- We also need mentors to help our residents become self su# cient. Mentors would apply, be interviewed, and learn about our program, what is expected of the mentors, as well as the residents.
- New Way Ministries has housing units for homeless women and children. The need remains for personal items such as towels and wash cloths for the kitchen and the bath; personal hygiene products, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.; cleaning supplies such as sponges, mops, buckets, etc.; toys, puzzles and books for schoolage children; bookcases and open toy boxes; and cribs.
- Volunteer to provide the meal for the weekly dinner meetings.
- Form a paint crew to come and help them paint the outside of the building and their courtyard.
- Form or join an army of weeders! They would "clean and preen" the interior courtyard, plant bedding plants and spruce up after the winter!
- We could also use a volunteer webmaster to update their website and continue to update it.
