Young Life
Mission Statement:
Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Story:
Lulu came here from Germany on a school exchange program this year. When she came to Lynden, she did not believe that God was real. Boy does God know what He's doing! She became involved in Young Life and attended every time we had an event.
She went to our winter weekend camp and at that time she moved a step closer and said she knew that God was real. Lulu understands English and speaks it well, but sometimes it does create a barrier. In a conversation at my house a few weeks later, when she heard in another way the sacri! ce that Jesus made for her when he died on the cross, it was enough to convince her that she wanted to spend eternity with Him, and she gave her life to Christ. She has since come to serve on work crew for a weekend camp up at Malibu Club in Canada. It has been so awesome to see how God used the people in this ministry called Young Life to love on a German exchange student and now when she goes back to Germany in a month, she will not be the same!! Watch out Berlin!! God is coming through a young girl named Lulu!
