GUADALAJARA TEAM
The day after Easter, on April 6th, a team of 24 will be on their way to Guadalajara for a week of ministry with the orphans at the Emmanuel Foundation. This team includes couples, families, and individual young adults from our Lynden and Kendall campuses, with Becky Gerlach and Bill Lynch as the trip leaders. The team ranges in age from the youngest member being six years-old to the oldest 62. The team will be serving the local community with maintenance on the property, painting, Vacation Bible School with the children, sharing testimonies, prison ministry, street ministry, and leading a worship service. Please pray for an effective time of outreach as they share the love of Jesus. Pray also for safe travels and good health for the team so they can fully engage their time of ministry.
Community Movie Night
Join us on Wednesday, April 15th for a fun family night watching the animated movie, “David” (by Angel Studios) on the giant video wall in the NCCTK Worship Center. Doors open at 5:30pm with the movie starting at 6:05pm. Angel Studios gives the following synopsis of their film: “From the songs of his mother’s heart to the whispers of a faithful God, David’s story begins in quiet devotion. When the giant Goliath rises to terrorize a nation, a young shepherd armed with only a sling, a few stones, and unshakable faith steps forward. Pursued by power and driven by purpose, his journey tests the limits of loyalty, love, and courage—culminating in a battle not just for a crown, but for the soul of a kingdom.” Concessions will be sold with proceeds benefitting the Tijuana Youth Mission Trip.
More than Just a House
In July 2024 our church sent a high school youth team to Tijuana, Mexico to work with the YWAM (Youth with a Mission) base. Part of the team built a home for a sweet family. Francisco and Sandra are the parents and their daughter is Carla. After receiving their home, they desired to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord. They joined YWAM for a 12-week community study course and thrived learning more about the Lord. They have now left their jobs and are with YWAM full-time at a 5-month Discipleship Training School. God has amazing things in store for this family- and for the community they want to impact. The home that our team helped to build gave them the stability to be able to pursue God’s calling over their family. This story is uncommon, since in YWAM’s history as a ministry over 35 years, and building thousands of homes, they have only had four other full families join them as missionaries after receiving a home. Often the children they build for will come as missionaries when they grow up, but for adults to make that leap of faith is huge. We are so thankful that our youth have been able to be part of this family’s story. Please pray for them as they continue this journey that God has for them.
YWAM North Cascades now offering Mission Adventures
Did you know that our very own Youth with a Mission base in Lynden will be launching Mission Adventures? They are now booking teams for Spring and Summer 2026. Mission Adventures offers short-term mission experiences for teams that combines hands-on outreach, intentional discipleship, and meaningful exposure to what God is doing locally and globally. YWAM helps teams to encounter God in mission, grow in maturity, and return home with a sustainable vision for serving within their own church community.
To reach out, please go to: missionadventures@ywamnorthcascades.com. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will stir the hearts of young adults to join this mission experience.
Changes Happening at Christian Hope Association
Christian Hope Association (CHA) is in a season of transition. After four years of faithful leadership, Executive Director, Shannon Zebrowski, will be stepping away from CHA on April 1st and starting a new chapter. The Director of Project Hope Food Bank, Ken Owsley, will also be leaving our local food bank. Dan Turner has accepted the position as an Interim Director. Dan is already training with Ken and he has been volunteering for a long time at the Food Bank, so he is familiar with the operations of Project Hope. Please pray for God’s guidance and provision during this time of transition at CHA and that He will bring the right new leadership to continue to carry this impactful ministry.

“Be the One” Looking for More Mentors
Be the One helps to connect adults with students for one hour of mentoring each week, on campus during the school day. This ministry is currently in urgent need for female mentors at the Lynden Middle and High School. If you are, or know of, a woman who is kind, dependable, a good listener, encouraging, supportive, and willing to show up consistently for a student, then your help would be greatly appreciated. No special training is needed, just a caring heart and a willingness to build a relationship.
UPDATE TO NCCTK GIVING PAGE
We’re simplifying things: instead of giving to individual missions through the website, you’ll now support our Missions & Outreach Fund, which will still benefit all our partnered ministries!
Prefer to give directly to a specific ministry? No problem—just bring or mail your gift to NCCTK with the ministry name on the memo line, and we’ll make sure it’s directed properly.
